Well, I heard from Dr. Filatov's office, yesterday. I have an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Ron Anderson in Coquitlam, B.C. on Wednesday August 5th. Dr. Anderson is the surgeon who was going to remove the lymph node mass from my neck after the radiation treatments. He is one of 2 surgeons that Dr. Filatov knows who does the type of laser surgery that I need. I have seen Dr. Anderson on 2 previous occasions and he has my complete confidence. The only sticky point is that this appointment is for a consultation only and the actual surgery will be scheduled for some time further down the road. Oh well, the wheels of progress oft times turn slowly.
We are having great weather here in Vanderhoof. The mosquitoes are almost gone and that is really nice. I am outside every day doing this and that and feeling really good. I now have a hernia belt which provides a great deal of relief during the day while I'm doing my chores. If I could just get rid of this cough. I know, once the trachea tube is removed or as I now refer to it "my breathing tube" the cough will be a thing of the past.
